OLDCC – Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation
Delivering Strategic Communications And Stakeholder Engagement For The Office Of Local Defense Community Cooperation
The U.S. Department of Defense’s Office of Local Defense Community Corporation (OLDCC) provides technical and financial assistance to states, territories, and communities that support the defense mission. Anthology Communications has worked with OLDCC since 2009. Our longevity is due to our approach – we are responsive to clients, anticipate their needs, and collaborate with them to problem-solve and address potential challenges. As a result, Anthology is a trusted advisor to leadership.
Our work with OLDCC covers the communications spectrum and includes strategic communications and planning; internal communications; digital and social media content development; material creation; drafting, editing, and designing technical guides and handbooks; research and focus groups; and more.
To provide this support, Anthology works closely with leadership and subject matter experts (SME) as we develop technical content for new project managers, grantees, local officials, and others. Manuals and guides we have authored and/or edited include: Handbook for New Project Managers (an internal OLDCC book), Grantee Guide for Compatible Use, Grantee Guide for Defense Manufacturing Community Support Program, Industry Transition Grantee Guide, and Cyber Security Project Management.
Our team also creates outreach material such as project profiles, case studies, fact sheets, one-sheets, infographics, and web content, to inform stakeholders – members of Congress, Pentagon and military officials, and local government officials – of the important contributions OLDCC makes to military communities through their grant programs. Currently, we are drafting scripts for five separate videos for the client.
Finally, Anthology manages the office’s digital outreach, including social media, email updates, and website content and updates. Our strategic approach to social media began with research review, content planning, and collaboration. This resulted in a 300% increase in LinkedIn followers, and a 7% increase in engagement rates between January 2023 and December 2024.
